Every once in a while, you click with a couple the very first time you meet them. That was the case when I had a chance to sit down with Patty and Chas. It was one of those weddings that you simply can’t wait for their date to arrive. Patty and Chas’ family and friends did not disappoint; from the super hero themed groomsmen to the beautiful and funny bridesmaids…memories were made all day long. With the help of my good friend (and awesome photographer) Kenny Stoudt, we did our best to capture all the planned and unplanned craziness and romance of their big day. I wish Patty and Chas many years of happiness. Congratulations!
Lately a few of my photography assignments don’t require much creativity, so today I took a six-mile hike at Nolde Forest and challenged myself. I took along a cheap point and shoot camera and would only focus on shadows, textures and light…no color. Not only did I get good exercise, but kept my brain working the whole time too. In my business, creativity is your edge…I will always look to improve and grow. Here are a few of my favorites.
A little "good luck" rain didn't damper the day for Meghan and Michael's beautiful wedding. As always, Stokesay handled all the details with ease and set the scene for a wonderful celebration. I am so lucky to photograph joyous occasions in amazing locations. My most recent wedding was at Appleford Estate in Villanova, PA. Jacqui and Kyle dodged rain for most of the day, but still enjoyed all this historical location has to offer; everything from gorgeous gardens to a curved staircase. The relaxed atmosphere of the setting quickly changed after the wedding ceremony and the reception began. Jacqui and Kyle’s family and friends know how to party…and party they did!
