30 years and 500+ weddings

This past weekend I photographed my last wedding. Over the last 30 years, I have photographed 500 plus weddings in several states and as far away as Ireland.  I can honestly say, I have enjoyed every minute of it.  However, due to growth of other areas of my business (and wanting more weekend family time) I am no longer booking weddings.  It was a tough decision, but I am now able to focus on the next decades and new adventures.  I plan to continue growing my business and providing high quality personal service to my ever-increasing list of clients.I am grateful for so many families trusting me with their special day. Capturing thousands of smiles and emotional moments ...

30 years and 500+ weddings

Secoges Photographics, LLC has grown to a level never expected in its 29 year history. When I started out as a “freelance photographer” I never dreamed of turning into a corporation that has diversified its services to be able to handle almost any photo or video request.  Besides my many corporate clients, I have always kept family-friendly services as a priority.  Services such as weddings, family portraits, youth sports leagues, high school seniors and children’s portraits have been the staple of my business for many years.Today, I am announcing that I purchased Towne House Photography.  Towne House was owned by my longtime friend John Powanda.  ...

30 years and 500+ weddings

The Cork Factory in Lancaster, PA is rapidly becoming one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding.  Everywhere you turn is a unique architectural feature or amazing background.  Add to that a amazing pair of families, friends that know how to party and my job is easy!  Stephanie and Mark had a perfect day and I was honored that that chose me to capture all of the special moments...from getting ready, beautiful ceremony, cake smash, lots of dancing and a sparkler send off.  Here are a few of my favorites.  CONGRATS TO STEPHANIE AND MARK!

Youth Sports-Photo Day Fun

30 years and 500+ weddings

I preach this to youth sports leagues every year…photo day can be fun! With a awesome staff, detailed organization and many years of experience; that is what I offer.  Kids have a great time, minimal interruption for parents and coaches and leagues can make some money via commissions.  I see so many leagues treat photo day as “just something they have to do”; to me it is so much more.  It’s a great way to interact with the young athletes, make them laugh and get great photos along the way.  I also make sure the teams I sponsor get a little extra dose of my silliness (see photos below). Not every child will be a star athlete, but why ...

Time-Lapse Video

30 years and 500+ weddings

With my continued growth of corporate video, I continue to look for new cameras or techniques that will help showcase the clients services.  One of those techniques is time-lapse video.  I am not new to time-lapsing, but the process can be very tricky and time consuming.  Recently, I started working on a project for a local client who is moving into a completely renovated building in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania.  One part the video I am producing is the construction; a long process with many changes taking place.  Time-lapse is a perfect way to illustrate this process without watching hours of footage. As with any new product or service I offer, it goes through a ...
